Over the last 3 decades I have been photographing Cape Cod and all of its hidden treasures and ecosystems from its Great Marshes, Dunescapes, Unique Villages, Night Skies, Bridges, Boardwalks, Boats, Gardens, Lighthouses and Exquisite Harbors. As a local and national photographer, location scout, workshop instructor and production coordinator I have developed a knack for being in the right place and the right time to photograph location landscapes in their finest hours.
After years of being asked to guide and instruct serious amateurs and professional alike I have developed a series of half-day Cape Safaris to share the excitement and beauty of being in the right place at the right time to photograph Cape Cod in its best light. From Woods Hole to Provincetown I can set up a four-hour excursion based on location proximity, seasons, and weather conditions for morning or afternoon shoots. I can suggest several itineraries based on geographic location to produce stunning and consistent results.
Accommodations can be made for various ages and mobility factors ranging from overland hikes, boat excursions, kayaking to island channels, beach excursions, seal tours, whale trips, oversand jeep tours to remote lighthouses, street shooting in colorful spots including parades, festivals, lighthouse jaunts and the list goes on and on. One of my favorite spots is a short walk to the beach, effortlessly watching a virtual flotilla of boats come in at the end of the day followed by a spectacular lighthouse sunset. The possibilities are limitless. I'm fun to accompany on a shoot, extremely knowledgeable and patient in the photographic field. I really enjoy photography and sharing a good field outing. Location photography can be simple and rewarding when it is planned well.
My half day base rate is 375.00 for a photographer and up to two ( additional back seat buddies for an additional $100 each. I do call these classes 1+1 for a reason and the fee is all-inclusive (except meals) unless aircraft, boats, or oversand vehicles come into play. Those rentals are priced a la carte and at cost. I shoot both national and internationally for a wide array of commercial clients so I would advise booking in advance particularly in the summer season. On a blue moon you might catch me on a day before without a plan, but once again I do recommend reservations in advance.
